SAMS Photofact shows in its index Emerson 572 with chassis no. 120065 in set 20, folder 10 from June 1947. The schematic as such does only name model 540A with chassis 120042 (for color Walnut, Ivory, Green and Red and Broadcast 540 - 1620 kc). Therefore we can assume that model 564 followed and even later model 572. Rider's 18-7 through 18-9 show the same schematics for the models 540, 564 and 572 with chassis numbers 120027 120042 and 120065 - and names the following colors for the Clockette 572: black and white mottled, ivory and ebony (black). See also photos there for the different models. We show also a green marbled Clockette 572 - but brown is most probably black in nature but photos often show a brownish color! There is also a "Series A" for the model 572. Pat. No. 2282759. They all have a built in loop antenna. Please look up and photograph the back wall before posting pictures. Catalogs will tell us later which model was introduced when exactly.

This page is for the model Emerson 572 Clockette Series A - in black. The cabinet is of thin fragile Poly-Styrene plastic and the sets are often found damaged. The model 572 uses the same dial pointer as on the Clockette model from 1937 and the Emersonette 540 from 1947. It has a lighted jewel on top.
