  • The EONKO L-338DAB pocket radio features FM and DAB/DAB+ bands, clock, and plays MP3 media files.

    Brief technical details

    The System Menu shows the SW version L-338DAB-V11.

    The PCB assembly reference is ""L-338DAB  THK=1.0mm  2020-09-11"

    The design is based around a C912C DAB Module Ver.02B DAB/DAB+/FM digital receiver module mounted as a piggyback PCB into the main PCB assembly. The C912C module contains a SI4684-A10 FM/DAB/DAB+ receiver IC by Sysworks, a EN25Q80B-104HIP 8 Megabit Serial Flash Memory IC by EON, a 19.200 MHz tcxo, and a S51A LDO regulator IC by MicrOne.

    A  PT3300-HS 3.2W Class D/AB Audio Power Amplifier IC by PTC drives the built-in 36 mm 4 Ohm speaker.

    A custom AS20BP00974-25A4 Bluetooth/Audio processor by 杰理 / JL (zh-jieli) handles several tasks like MP3 files decoding and audio stereo output for earphones.

    A CA32F0602L3 Flash MCU by CACHIP manages the radio.

    The power supply uses some additional active components to handle the battery charging (a ME4057AN IC by MicrOne), voltage regulation (4A2D IC 3.3V LDO)  and some transistors as switches.

The EONKO model L-338DAB available from Chinese online sellers, is also sold under the brand RADDY model RD23 from European and American online sellers.

The RD23 feature the same specifications as the L-338DAB. Even the user guide contents is the same. In fact the RD23 looks to be a L-338DAB model, as it shows the same exact label at the base of the cabinet where the EONKO L-338DAB model code can be seen.
