• Essentially a post WWII version of the 1939 Ever Ready 5214 (see also Lissen 8515, both are among the first UK "All Dry" sets) and related models which started with edge connect valves and ended with US Octals. Also Initially friction contra rotating knob and scale but during 1940s 5214 changed to drive cord used on Model A. Slight cosmetic changes vs last "late" 5214 or Forces Entertainment model

  Official Ever Ready Manual confirms alternate valve types

  Probably uses same AD3 battery pack as earlier models. There is a Bakelite 1946 "Farm" / Table version with larger speaker using the same chassis and same case as the 1939 / 1940 "5218 Bakelite" model
