• The Sky Baby receiver (Berec version: Ballerina) uses the same chassis as Sky Princess (Berec version: Calypso), similar to Sky Casket (but no AGC V2) and Berec Harlequin.

  In contrast to these models, where the centre position of the wavechange switch serves as off switch, the Sky Baby uses a separate on/off switch operated by the lid.

  A Ferrite Rod aerial replaces the loop antenna contained in the lid of earlier models. There is no slow motion drive for the tuning on this version of the chassis.

  The usual metal panel / baffle was replaced by a plastic one that cracked easily. The later Sky Countess has a more resiliant cloth covered fibre board instead.

  A PCB replaced the point to point chassis in the Sky Countess (Berec version: Wizard) and Sky Baronet (Berec version: Matador), which are otherwise similar designs of case and chassis.

  This model and all the others listed use the Ever Ready B141 combo battery pack, balanced for 125mA LT and about 90V @ 9mA HT. It uses the same miniature 4 pin connection as the B114 pack which isn't compatible as it is for 250mA LT and 69V HT.

  The Sky Baby model name was also used for a later transistor portable Sky Baby in 1965.
