  • Bemerkung
  • The "FADA 16 Receiver" is an all electric A.C. Tube Radio with Push-pull power amplification as a table model with a metal cabinet. There are two versions: Fada 16 Reciever for 50 to 60 cycle, 90 to 130 volt line and the FADA 16-Z Receiver for use on 25 to 49 cycle (always also higher ...), also 90 to 130 volt lines.
The "FADA 16 Receiver" has a dynamic speaker outlet, especially adapted for use with the FADA 15 dynamic speaker. It also can be used with the FADA 14 Super-dynamic speaker and the FADA 4 magnetic speaker. The two tone metal cabinet has a velvetex finish. Both models have an antenna compensator and phonograph attachment jacks.

The FADA models 16 (metal table), 17 (wood table) and 32 (console) Receivers for 60 cycles and FADA models 16-Z and 32-Z - the same for 25 cycles, all share the same schematic. They feature a push-pull power amplifier in the last audio stage, long and short antenna connections, antenna compensator. For all those there is a schematic for the first version and one for "Late production": Rider's FADA 1-1 is the schematic for the first version. Rider's FADA 2-2 is the neutralizing and compensating instructions for those 5 models. Radio College of Canada FADA 6 shows the schematics for year 1929 for them but also for a 17-Z, which they prove wrong on the same page at the bottom. Radio Service Manual, Gernsback is for "Late production" (page 144). The FADA-18 is the DC version - with the same ornamental metal cabinet. The FADA dealer price list of December 1st 1928 shows both, the FADA 16 and 16-Z for dealer price 66 $ and end price 110 $ without tubes.
