  • Modello: SF-50/80-A - Fada Radio & Electric Co.;
  • Forma
  • Console, con gambe d'appoggio alte (> 50%).
  • Annotazioni
  • There are two different schematics for FADA models SF-50/80: The schematic for R-80-A Unit, 480-A and SF 50/80-A receivers - and the schematic 480-B and SF 50/80-B receivers. External power supply for mains operation is possible. We believe that the cabinet for SF 50/80-B is the same for both chassis versions - and there are different cabinets for the same chassis. The title page of "FADA-SALES Radio Magazine", Vol. IV. No. 2, February 1927 shows the model FADA "8" Console SF 50/80 and in the January issue this is mentioned. Therefore it might have been on the market already in 1926 - at least SF 50/80-A. The people on the cover of the Feb. 1927 issue are Kit Wain and Charles Maile, who appeared in the "Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Productions" titled "Slide, Kelly, Slide". An article stated this specific model was well known to " the stars". With 5 tuned circuits it was at that time a very powerful and expensive radio.
