  • Remarques

  • The Fairbanks Morse 58-T-2 is an AC operated, 5 tube BC, Police and SW band receiver.  Uses chassis 58.  Has AGC and 2 stage audio circuit. The three bands cover a frequency tuning range of 540 to 23000kHz. Has 5.5" tuning dial, AVC and a tuning ratio of 8:1.

    NOTE: 58 is the chassis number and NOT the model number.

    NOTE: The following references have incorrect information:

    1. Machine Age to Jet Age (pg 233) - Has incorrect picture for model 58-T-2, with picture shown actually being Fairbanks Morse model 57-T-0.

    2. Machine Age to Jet Age Vol II (pg 125) - Has incorrect picture for model 58-T-2, with picture shown being an unknown Fairbanks Morse model.  Cabinet similar to 58-T-1 cabinet except has 2 knobs instead of 4.  Dial is similar to 57-T-0 except has 2 knobs instead of 3.

    3. Machine Age to Jet Age Vol II (pg 125) - Model listed as model 58 is an incomplete model number and is actually model 58-T-2.

    4. Cathedral & Tombstone Radios (pg 110) - Model listed as model 58 is an incomplete model number and is actually model 58-T-2.  Also incorrectly lists having 2 bands, but model 58-T-2 actually has 3 bands.

    5. Tabletop Radios Vol I (pg 81) - Has incorrect picture for model 58-T-2, with picture shown actually being Fairbanks Morse model 57-T-0. Description under picture states 2 bands, which is also correct for model 57-T-0 (Model 58-T-2 has 3 bands).
