- In the second year of non automobile radios Firestone offered a line of radio models, seven table top models (Air Chief 7422-3, 7422-4, 7423-1, 7423-2, 7424-1, 7424-2 and 7424-3) and their first three console radios (7423-3, 7425-1 and an 11-tube console with dial-matic station selection.
The Air Chief 7244-3 is according to Rider's a 4-tube AC/DC set, covering the broadcast band but the advertisement states that it is a 5 tube model, covering American and Police bands. Price was 12.95 $.
