  • Remarques
  • This power supply was designed specifically for powering a Command set receiver. Advertised in Radio News from the mid 1950's to around 1966 as a kit for $7.95 or factory wired and tested at $11.50. Later advertised as factory-built at $12.50 and no longer a kit. Has a three connector jack that matches the plug pins on the Command receiver dynamotor deck. Its four holes in the bright-steel box also match the shock-mount pins that held the dynamotor.

CAUTION: The high voltage is directly line-derived. The supply chassis and therefore the entire receiver chassis to which it would be attached is connected to one side of the power line!  The one transformer provides 24 volts for the filaments but B+ comes directly from the line as a half-wave selenium rectifier supply that was filtered by a dual section 150 volt electrolytic and the choke.  Like similar AC-DC power supplies, it was designed to produce B+ at about 130-145 volts.
