  • The General Electric 250 is a 5 tube AC/Battery operated portable BC band receiver.  The BC band frequency tuning range is 540 to 1600kHz.  Has RF stage and built-in loop antenna. Also has synchronous vibrator circuit that generates B+ voltage.  Used rechargable 2V/25AH Lead-Acid battery.  Available case colors include brown and gray.

    Case is made of cast aluminum construction with hammertone paint finish. Has 3 position tone switch. Lead acid 2V cell must be in the circuit for operation on AC current as it provides filtering and reference voltage for tube filaments.
