General Electric (Aust.) Model MR1 Mantel Radio
Five valve mantel BC mantel radio. Inbuilt Ferrite rod aerial with provision for connection to external aerial. Muted travelling dial light indicates stations in a darkened room. Large 4" magnet speaker. Fitted with 9ft 3-core flex which provides automatic earthing. Finished in Honey beige and ivory. (FROM MINGAY'S PRICE SERVICE)
Redesignated model R5VM1 in 1965 when General Electric changed their model numbering system.
