  • Remarques
  • There were at least four versions of this amplifier as follows:

    Style 1:  1935 - 1936 with four tubes (6A6 6F6 6F6 5Z4 or 80) and 10 inch speaker

    Style 2:  1936 - 1937 with six tubes (6F5 6N7 6C5 6N6 6N6 5Z3) and 10 inch speaker

Style 3:  1937 - 1941 with seven tubes and 12 inch speaker.  There was an early "transition" version from Style 2 that most likely was only made in 1937.  This is the model depicted on this model page.  It had the same schematic as Style 2 except that the 6N7 was replaced with two 6C5's.  The schematic on this model page is for Style 2 with revisions showing the two 6C5's.  The Style 3 "late" version substituted two 6L6's for the 6N6's.  The Style 3 late version also eliminated the protective leather corners at the top of the front face, and instead, had rounded corners.

Style 4: 1941 - 1942 that used  a tube phase inverter with a 6N7 replacing the transformer.  The rectifier was changed to a 5U4 and the three 6C5's were replaced with 6SQ7's.
