  • Bemerkung
  • The Globe No. 610 1-tube regenerative receiver was manufactured for Globe Electric in the Tresco Manufacturing Department of the Briggs & Stratton Company (Basco) in Milwaukee in 1922. The receiver was built using entirely Basco parts. This receiver employed the Armstrong regenerative circuit of which Tri-City Electrical Supply (TRESCO) was a licensee. There was also a matching Globe No. 615 2-Stage audio amplifier available for the 610 that provided enough audio to drive an external loud speaker. This radio was also available with two stages of AF amplification in one cabinet as the Globe 605.

This chassis design was used in several different trade name radios. Here you will find the links to the other Tri-City/Basco built chassis sets which have been sold by a variety of trade names some with different cabinets.

You can click for the Tri-City/Basco model sold as the Lawrence Receiver with Basco chassis (Briggs & Stratton), here is the Monroe D-7 version, the Montgomery Wards Airline Special version had a different cabinet but used the same Tri-City/Basco chassis, there also exists an unknown brand model in an entirely different cabinet that also uses the Tri-City/Basco chassis. This chassis was also available with the Two-Stage Audio Amplifier built in, see the Tri-City/Basco built (3 tubes) for Montgomery Wards Airline DeLuxe.
