- The CR-16 was designed for Rudolph Valentino by Alfred Grebe. It featured a solid walnut case, which also houses the necessary dry cell batteries and a Grebe loud speaker. According to Grebe literature of the day the CR-16 was the first complete tuned radio frequency receiver unit offered to the public.
