The radio gradually became intermittent on A/C mains, then a year or so later became intermittent on batteries. Finally it would function only as an audio amplifier. The clock worked, but none of the reception bands functioned. The problem was finally traced to an internal board leakage that I surmise is caused by contamination. The problem was repaired by isolating the circuit line connecting pin 1C on the power switch to resistor R832. This connection is routed through connector STV603 pin 2.
The failure was evident by the presence of a voltage ( +9 volts if used on batteries, approximately 20 volts rectified DC when running on A/C mains) on power switch pin 1C with the power switch in the ON position. In this position, the voltage on pin 1C should be zero. When the voltage rises above about 3 volts on this line, transistor T811 is turned on which activates the uProcessor IC802 IRQ line, which stops the uProcessor. It appears this feature was included in the radio design in order to quickly mute the receiver and return the display to the clock function. The radio will operate properly if R832 is completely removed, however it will take a few seconds for the clock display to return.
After repairing this set, I have had two other associates report similar symptoms on their Satellit 600 sets. This might be expected if manufacturing process contamination on the circuit board is just now beginning to surface. I hope to report that they have also been successful with this repair.

Hello friends of the radio,
I have a satellit 600 with several problems. The most serious is that only works digitally switched to battery. When I turn on the AC power cord to the radio now has a very low sound, and the display is presented with a huge instability, ie the very fast pass frequency was tuned to the batteries when connected to the digits of the hour with very low sound. But if I keep it plugged into AC, but I will not move, after more or less 15 to 30 minutes, the radio stabilizes and starts to work normally, however, despite being typically working digitally, I cannot switch the radio to work analogically, ie pass it by tuning dial.
Conclusion: analogy does not work and when connected to the batteries only works on the display
Any friend can give me some tips for me to try to resolve this fault?

Hallo in die Runde..
Den letzten Beitrag von Herrn Charles Weigel, kann ich bestätigen und den Fehler beseitigt, indem ich den LS Schalter mit dem besagten defekten Schalter getauscht habe.
Für den LS ist der übergangswiderstand scheinbar belanglos..

Hallo, in die Runde,
derzeit arbeite ich an einem solchen Gerät. Neben einigen Widrigkeiten sind auch sämtliche Skalenlampen defekt, und durch definitiv falsche Werte ersetzt worden.
Die korrekten Werte der Skalenlampen ( Spannung/Strom ) sind allerdings nirgends auffindbar, zumindest habe ich nichts gefunden.
Vielleicht hat sich mal jemand Notitzen gemacht. Danke fürs nachsehen.

Hallo,
gibt es bei diesem Modell einen Trick, wie man den Antriebriemen des Motor tauschen kann? Denn sosnt müßte man ja alles zerlegen.

Ich habe einen Grundig Sattelit 600 geschenkt bekommen, bei dem das LC-Display nichts anzeigt. Empfang auf allen Bereichen ist möglich und Speicherung und Abruf der gespeicherten Frequenzen funktioniert. Also sollte der wichtigste Teil der Digitaltechnik in Ordnung sein. Die Lämpchen zur Displaybeleuchtung sind defekt. Die Segmente des Displays sind optisch erkennbar (wie eingebrannt bei einer Bildröhre).
Ich vermute Kontaktprobleme beim Display oder auch Totalausfall. Am Digitalteil, bzw. am Ausbau desselben, scheint sich schon jemand versucht zu haben. Bevor ich alles auseinander nehme, wäre ich für Erfahrungsberichte dankbar. Zum Entsorgen ist mir das Gerät zu schade.

Die Qualität könnte etwas besser sein, mehr ist jedoch unter den gegebenen Umständen nicht möglich.
