  • "Musikschrank" SO191WE (SO 191 WE) has been made by Grundig for export. Info Jorge Cifuentes, Santiago, Chile: 6 loudspeakers: two 11" woofers; two 7"x5" elliptical mid-range; two 7"x5" elliptical tweeters. The tweeters are on the sides of the cabinet, so they cannot be seen from the front.

    The ELAC Miracord 90 is a very basic 4-speed record changer; has a 210 mm diameter platter, a two-pole motor, and the propulsion is by means of a rubber pulley against the inner part of the platter (like the old Thorens 124, Garrard 301 and Dual 1005). The crystal cartridge is the SNM-102, and has a double needle for Normal (78 rpm) and Micro-groove (16-33-45 rpm). ELAC factory was situated in Kiel by the time this Schrank was made.

    Data for the TM60U reel recorder: it is a stereo two-track two-speed deck (19 cm/sec and 9.5 cm/sec). Maximum reel size is 18 cm. Has one big hysteresis motor, very silent and with high torque. It's a two-head design (one reords and plays, the other one erases). Has too many relays, which produced frequent headaches. Power transmission is by means of pulleys and two rubber belts. It also features: pause, sound-on-sound, and has inputs for two microphones.
