Stereo Power Amplifier DH-220

A Stereo Power Amplifier available ready built or as a kit. Intended for 120 V AC 60Hz in the USA, for use in other countries a multi-voltage power transformer is available at extra cost for 100, 110, 120, 200, 220 and 240 volts 50 or 60 cycle AC mains.

The Hafler DH-222 Bridging Kit is available to enable conversion of the DH-220 into a high power monophonic amplifier, bridging the two conventional channels into a single floating output which can deliver in excess of 400 watts into an 8 ohm load. Its rated power output is 350 watts across the audio band.

Semiconductor Complement :
26 transistors. 8 power Mosfets, 29 diodes, 4 zener diodes. 1 diode bridge.

Power Rating:
Less than 0.02% total harmonic distortion at any power level up to 115 watts continuous average power per channel into 8 ohms at any frequency between 20 Hz and 20 kHz with both channels driven.

IM Distortion (SMPTE):
  Less than 0.005%, from 1 watt to 115 watts into 8 ohms.

Typical THD at 115 watts into 8 ohms:
  1 kHz  - 0.0025%
  10 kHz - 0.007%
  20 kHz - 0.012%

Frequency Response into 8 ohms:
  2 Hz to 160 kHz at 1 watt
  6 Hz to 60 kHz at 115 watts

Typical Channel Separation:
  20 Hz:  > 75 dB
   1 kHz: > 85 dB
  20 kHz: > 65 dB

Signal to Noise Ratio, unweighted:
  Better than 100 dB at 115 watts into 8 ohms

Input Impedance:
  47,000 ohms.

Input Sensitivity:
  1.55 volts RMS for 115 watts into 8 ohms.
