Microcomputer MCEM-8080

The HAL MCEM 8080 Microcomputer has the following features:

• Intel 8080A  (8-bit microprocessor) based single board microcomputer system.
• ROM is 1KB included storage for ROM monitor program, expandable to 4KB.
• RAM memory is 1KB, expandable to 2KB.
• I/O is RS-232 Serial and current loop. Three 8-bit parallel ports (Intel 8255).
• The board is equipped with toggle switches and LED's on both the data and address buses to allow data program instructions to be entered into memory, break points to be set, etc.

Optional expansion boards and Programs:

• MCEM - PS              Power Supply 120VAC or 220-240VAC (supplies +/-12VDC & +5VDC).
• MCEM - KB/VDU     Keyboard and display unit (video out for TV type display).
• MCEM - 7K              7KB RAM Memory upgrade plus EPROM programmer (2708).
• TINY BASIC            Cut down interactive BASIC language interpreter supplied in EPROM.

The computer as presented here is heavily customised, the case, the extension of switches and LEDs to the front panel are all nonstandard, but it still retains all the exact functionality of the original configuration.
