- Model: 821 - Hallicrafters, The; Chicago,
- Shape
- Console, Lowboy (legs < 50 %).
- Notes
- Console with doors 16 inch TV, with early square type CRT. Has also built-in an AM (BC band only superhet with RF amplifier) radio. VHF band only. IF is still in 25 MHz band, and it still uses a simple AGC circuit just like radios (not gated). Electromagnetic focus, with a big focus coil on the neck of the CRT. Power requirement: 235 W. When used as a radio receiver it keeps on all the TV tubes for quick start. Schematic very close to 818, but with more modern tubes (two 12AU7 instead of two 6SN7, 6AV6 instead of 6SQ7) and square CRT instead round one.
