The Hewlett Packard 692 A/B sweep generator has a range from 2 to 4 GHz and feature three modes of sweep operation. In the first "Normal" mode, the output frequency is swept in either directions between two continuously adjustable limits. In the "F" mode, frequency is swept about an adjustable center frequency. As a third mode these same frequency markers may be used to establish a sweep mode similar to "normal" called "marker sweep" in wich the markers determine the sweep range.
All other characteristics are in the original attached article.
This instrument uses 38 Transistors, 17 Tubes, 105 Diodes and 4 Voltage Regulators. Transistors, Tubes and Voltage regulators listed one per type. The list includes 18 Transistors unknown, listed without names, 3 Tubes unknown CK647 and all Diodes unknown to RMORG: 1 1N277, 59 1N458 and 44 not named. All characteristics and the construction are the same for 691A, 693A and 694A, except the range, that for 691 is 1 to 2 GHz, 693 is 4 to 8 GHz and 694 is 8 to 12.4 GHz.
