His Master's Voice 658 Push-Button
For more than 40 years His Master's Voice have been manufacturing Britain's finest gramophones and radios. Step by step, research departments working in the Empire's largest radio factory, have contributed much towards perfection in radio reception. And today New Zealanders who buy His Master's Voice are assured of receiving the latest and best in radio engineering.
Model 658 is a five-valve, all-world superhet receiver with six station push buttons operating on the "His Master's Voice'"Split-Second" tuning system. Once the waveband switch has been set to "Auto" any station on the push-button circuit can be heard instantly the button is pressed. The food-lit tuning scale shows three wave bands, 16.5-50, 195-580, 1,000-2,000 metres, and is clearly marked with station names and an alphabetical index of short-wave stations.
