Horn Gramophone 32

The last of HMV's acoustic phonographs. The lily shaped horn had been used withouth interruptions from 1904, and the large four-spring motor is identical to those mounted in the bulky and much more costly cabinet models.

L'ultimo dei grammofoni a tromba HMV. La tromba è la stessa usata ininterrottamente dal 1904, mentre il grande motore a quattro molle è il medesimo montato sui grandi e molto più costosi modelli a mobile.

Model 32 Horn Gramophone, H.M.V., 1927. Apart from the Morning Glory horn, which remained virtually unchanged since 1904, the Model 32 had little in common with earlier open horn designs. The acoustic arm was mounted on the engine plate, with a connection that transmitted the sound to a horn elbow rest. The engine was the no. 34 four-spring of the larger cabinet models, but this £8.10 or £9 gramophone was aimed at those who didn't have money to waste on luxury cases.

Grammofono a tromba modello 32, H.M.V., 1927. A parte la tromba Morning Glory, che restò praticamente immutata dal 1904, il modello 32 aveva ben poco in comune coi precedenti disegni a tromba aperta. Il braccio acustico era montato sulla piastra del motore, con un collegamento che trasmetteva il suono ad un appoggio del gomito della tromba. Il motore era quello n. 34 a quattro molle dei più grandi modelli a mobile, ma questo grammofono da £ 8,10 o £ 9 era destinato a chi non aveva soldi da buttar via per lussuosi contenitori.
