His Master's Voice Model O2-8J "Malibu"
An eight transistor, mains-operated stereophonic (Monarch/BSR 4-speed player) gramophone amplifier (complimentary push-pull output). Cabinet available in charcoal and tan.
Speakers: 7" x 4" in cabinet and 5" in lid (both speakers 27 ohms). Speakers may be separated (lid can be removed from cabinet) for more effective stereo reproduction. Total output 2 watts. Ceramic C1 cartridge and BSR Type ST3 stylus. Provision for stereo headphones.
Power supply: 240-250 volts, 50 c/s (Hz). Consumption: amplifier, 16 mA (no signal); motor 8 watts. Amplifier power supply: a special secondary winding on the gram. motor supplies 13.5 volts AC, which is rectified and filtered at the player. (FROM MINGAY'S PRICE SERVICE)
