  • The HyGain antenna "2BDT" was the standard 2-band combination dipole for the 80- and 40-meter amateur radio band in the 1960's . A disadvantage of the 2BDT was its length of 29 meters.

    The resonance tuning is not done by switching elements, but by inductive extension of the antenna by means of so-called traps.

    Die Resonanzabstimmung erfolgt nicht durch Schaltelemente, sondern durch induktive Verlängerung der Antenne mit Hilfe von so-genannten Traps.
