  • JVC 7860AU;
    Precision-In-Line Gun 20" Colour CRT, 26 - 28 kV EHT, contains 7 IC's: HA1154 (Sound IF); AN222 (RF AFC); AN228W (AGC and video amp); HA1179 (Bandpass amp & Automatic Phase Control Oscillator); AN282 (PAL Demodulator) and two HD2909 Channel Selector IC's. Also contains CdS Photocell (Electronic Eye or EE) for adjusting contrast and brightness to ambient lighting conditions. Electronic varactor VHF tuner with seven touch-select channels.
    Tunes Australian VHF Channels 46 - 216 MHz (Ch 0 - 10). UHF available but not factory fitted to this model. 75 Ohm Unbalanced / 300 Ohm Balanced aerial connections.
    This model would be fairly considered by many service personnel as one of the most reliable colour televisions ever built. The EHT and deflection stages were almost trouble free, with very occasional problems in the power supply and, in later years, silver-oxide migration on the legs of transistors in the channel selector area.
