  • Kingsley Teleradio Constructions Pty. Ltd., manufactured several models of Short Wave, Diathermy Apparatus in 1936.

    The Kingsley models produced short wave energy to electrically induce heat or the use of high-frequency electromagnetic currents as a form of physical therapy and in surgical procedures.

    Description

    KA

    Small portable unit fitted into a mobile cabinet from which it can be removed.

    KB

    High output, Intended for hospital use. It is mounted in a polished wooden cabinet with a drawer for electrodes and is fitted with a Bakelite control panel. The panel is fitted with an ammeter, pilot light and single-dial control. A safety pull-off switch is provided and the patient can operate this if desired. It operates on wavelength of 18 Metres.

    KC

    Similar to the KB and is a portable model weighing 40lb.

    KD

    Very high output, enabling a higher temperature rise in a shorter time. This unit can be supplied in any desired wavelength from 6 to 25 Metres.

    KE

    Variable wavelength, 800 watts output.
