  • This set is similar in appearance to the earlier model Rhapsody MP151, but has larger speaker, different batteries & improved circuit, the MP151 circuit in R&TVS is quite inaccurate for the Power supply . The chassis looks imore like  the Rhapsody Delux PP251 and the PSU circuit is similar (though a different chassis layout). The ERT sheet 1180 should be used. There is no matching Trader Sheet.

    The MP151/3 is referred to as like this model and the Rhapsody Delux PP251

    The Valve (tube) portable Rhapsody models span 1955 to 1960 approx. and despite being 3 models with very slight case variations and one model with a different style case all only have "Rhapsody" as the Model name on the chassis serial number label.

    The model MP151/2  can be identified as follows; Serial Nos. over 60000. Heater current controlled by potentiometer fitted with knob. Mains plug small flat type fitted to right side cabinet back.
