  • The Puppytune radio made or distributed by Beauty-Kraft Co., Jamaica, New York operates for BC (540-1650 kHz) band. There are two versions: One with lamp and one without. The Puppytune without lamp measures 11" (long) by 7" (wide) and 10,5" (tall). It is made with hand painted hard rubber. There is a plastic dial with a red finger. Hard rubber should not be kept in heat or direct sunshine. As to the date of first sales: Most of the used tubes have come on the market in 1946. Rider's 19 lists early models from 1946. It has a copyright from 1949. The model can be 1946 of earliest date and 1948 of the latest data of first appereance on the market.
