- The Lafayette "6 tube" 3 band AC-DC Superhet A-22 and the export version A-26 with broadcast, SW and lonng wave have AVC and a 3-gang tuning condenser. We don't count the ballast tube L49B. The domestic model A-22 covers 18 - 50 m; 75 - 200 m and BC 200 - 550 m and the A-26 has LW 850 - 2000 m instead of 75 - 200 m. Walnut cabinet with a clock-type illuminated dial.
List price for model A-22 is $ 39.90 and Lafayette price is $ 19.95. There is a possibility for 220 volt operation for $ 1.00 addl.
