  • The Lafayette catalog for model B-12 reads: "especially designed for use with 32 volt Delco systems or similar power plants." This 6 tube 32 volt receiver covers the wavelengths from 171 to 565 meters for broadcast stations, weather reports and police calls. It is a superheterodyne with AVC, tone control, electro-dynamic speaker, 3 gang condenser and an illuminated airplane dial.

The B-12 mantel receiver has a list price of $ 54.00 and Lafayette asks for $ 26.95. See details for the models of this catalog or summaries. At least the chassis is made by Wells-Gardner as model 6D. The model is stamped into the chassis. Wells-Gardner was a contract manufacturer, sometimes for different clients, as here for Gamble Skogmo, Inc. which called the model also as 6D. The schematic is found at Rider's Vol. 10, page Gamble 10-1 and 10-2. The tube 43 is the driver and the double triode 6A6 is the push-pull power output tube.
