- The models JA-35 is the cheapest radio in this Spring-Summer catalog for 1937 and Lafyette is writing "This little wonder will exceed your highest expectations." JA-36 is the export model and JA-35-P with "Personic Ear" in this family. Text in the catalog: With the "Personic Ear" installed "The loud speaker is silent - only you hear the program. A simple attachment slips under your pillow, under the cushion of your easy-chair or can be held in the hand." ... "And only Lafayette's large scale production makes possible this amazingly low price - a price that is no indication of its fine performance and attractive appereance." The TRS models receive broadcast 190 - 555 meters and only the export model JA-36 covers also long waves 800 - 2000 meters. We don't count the ballast tube K55BX.
