  • The "Dual Speaker" models L-16, L-17, L-18 and L-19 are sharing the same Rider's schematic 5-11 Lafayette Radio & Television Corp. Sometimes Lafayette writes "Dual Speaker", sometimes "Twin Speakers" and sometimes "Two Speakers". They are two electro magnetic speakers with differently pitched frequencies.
    L-16 is a chassis with tubes and loudspeakers (no cabinet) for 105- 120 volts, 50 to 60 cycles.
    L-17 is a chassis with tubes and loudspeakers (no cabinet) for 220 volts 60 cycles or 110 volts, 25 cycles.
    L-18 is a mantel receiver with chassis L-16.
    L-19 is a mantel receiver with chassis L-17. L-18 and L-19 share the same cabinet sized 17" width, 17.75" hight and 11" depth.

    Sensitivity is 3 microvolts per meter, selectivity full 10 kc without side-band cutting. Smooth tone control. One of the tubes type 57 is for a good AVC response. For more details or summaries see the Lafayette Catalog no. 54 for Spring 1933.
