One of the few Stereo-8 recorders-players. It is equipped with the controls compatible with the system which is obviously different from the cassette that we know as "Stereo Seven". A switch allows to choose between: Repeat, Continuous, Eject after track 1, 2, 3 or 4. Five buttons control eject, record, stop, play and fast forward. The Stereo-8 is a tape on which 4 stereo tracks are recorded which can be selected with a special button. The read head is positioned on the selected trace via a relay.
The input for two microphones is in front of the device.
This device has only a preamplifier, then it has a stereo output for an external amplifier, which is positioned on the back of the cabinet, together with an AUX input.
Input sensitivity: Microphone 1 mV; AUX 100 mV.
Frequency response: 30 - 12,000 Hz.
Tape speed: 4.75 cm/sec.16 Transistors, 13 Diodes, listed one per type and not all.
