  • The Lafayette "Super-Het" SW Converter covers 18 to 206 meters - with 4 sets of two plug-in coils. The tube 227 is the oscillator and the tube 224 the first detector. The tube 226 is used as power rectifier. The Lafayette price is $ 29.50, wired and tested in metal cabinet including the coils, less tubes. See details and summaries in this catalog.

See also the earlier catalog 1931 (season 1930/31).

    General:
The "Radio Collector's Guide 1921-1932" from Morgan E. McMahon shows on page 262/263 (for 1931/32) the model SW converter and we believe it is the newer one. It could as well indicate this earlier model with the same tube line up, the same cabinet - except the newer one has not a vernier dial and a range from 15 to 180 m. See details or summaries about that later catalog.
