  • We list this model because of the Rider's vol. 9 listing with this tube line up. The Lafayette catalog no. 55 for 1934 does give an other tube line up on page 6 where we get the text and photos from. It can be that the model had a different cabinet but it is unlikely. Who knows more?:

    The Lafayette Trutest 4 tube compact T-21 is a 4-Tube AC/DC TRF for the broadcast band. Beautiful Walnut Burl cabinet with marquetry inlay. Attractive speaker grill and escutcheoned front. The set is listed at $ 32.00 but the Lafayette price is $ 14.50. There is also a "Suede Carrying Case" for $ 1.50. The same model can be ordered for 220 volts and there is an early and a new version with other tubes. According to Rider's page 9-4 (signed Oct. 1935) there may also be tube 78 for RF and tube 77 for Det. See details for the models of this catalog.
