Tuner unit.
The detector circuit makes use of a double triode, the first half of which functions as a diode and the second as a cathode follower. By this means capacitive couplings and shunts have been eleminated and the d.c. and a.c. load conditions are the same. Diodes for automatic gain control are combined with the pentode intermediate frequency valve.
