Fälschung, fake Detektorapparat

Das Firmenschild ist nach 1930, der Knopf nie von Loewe, die aufgenagelten Schildchen sind Bastlerbedarf, wobei die Spitzen auf der Unterseite hervortreten (außerdem schief angebracht!). Die Verdrahtung ist nicht professionell: siehe die Verschraubungen an den Buchsen. Auch verknickter Draht, nicht einmal halbwegs gerade gerichtet, zeugt nicht von Professionalität.
Eindeutig eine FÄLSCHUNG wegen des Firmenschilds. das übrige Gerät könnte aus einer Kleinserie stammen.

We found this Loewe-Fake in the journal Antique Radio Classified, Volume 2, Number 11, November 1985, page 8 - see here. It is made in the old style of the 1920s, but with a name plate of the 1930s. The dial knob and the small name plates "Erde", "Antenne", "Detektor" and "Telefon" are components for self construction of wireles equipment, buyable from many Radio shops and mail order houses. The name plates are not even square mounted = home brew.
In Germany (and few other countries) the use of a plug-in crystal detector and plug-in coils was common practice. There was a wide choice of either component.
Interesting would be to know whether the box was initially holding something else.
The box itself looks very professional. It could have been from a small unknown series where somebody applied that Loewe label to make it look more complete and authentic. 
That happened most probably in Europe in a German speaking country - long before internet!.
