  • Auditorium Acousta Enclosure

With the introduction of the" Auditorium", as an addition to the Lowther range of Acoustas, we present a new and unique design that blends the rearward and forward dispersion of sound, giving music with all its attendant spaciousness as you would expect to hear it in an auditorium!

The enclosure is based on the design of the Dual Position Acousta and is fitted with two drive units (PM6 or PM6 Mk 1).

Faced into the corner of a room or at 45º to a flat wall, the distance of separation for two enclosures, in stereo, is not critical, and consequently are easily blended into the studio or home furnishings.

Whilst the rear drive unit takes advantage of the special characteristics of the folded horn technique by coupling the final flare of the horn to the walls of the room and presenting an indirect distribution of sound over the full frequency range. The forward-facing unit, with pre-set variable control, enables you to 'set' or 'place' the sound an entirely new exclusive feature that gives the illusion of front or back row seating position, resulting in separation and detail in depth which has to be heard to be appreciated.

As with all Lowther units, the level, or volume at which the 'Auditorium' is played does not affect the depth, balance, or spaciousness of the sound.

Available finishes in Rosewood, Teak, Walnut, White Grey & Grille in Charcoal Grey or White.

The Auditorium Acousta is identical in styling and dimensions to the Dual-Position Acousta, but it has two drive units rather than one.
