  • Anotaciones
  • These speakers sound different depending on if the listener is seated or standing.

These speakers were reviewed in the June 1984 issue of Hi-Fi News & Record Review.

Each speaker panel contains three drivers - a 620 square inch planar magnetic bass section, a 170 square inch planar magnetic mid-range section, and a 0.25 inch by 57 inch by 0.0001 inch thick ribbon tweeter.  The manufacture stated that the frequency response is +/- 4 dB from 37Hz to 40 kHz.  The minimum recommended power is 50 watts RMS (8-ohms rated), and the maximum recommended power is 200 watts RMS.  The sensitivity specifications are 1 watt RMS, 500 Hz, 85 dB @ 1 meter, and 1 watt RMS, 20,000 to 40,000 Hz pink noise, 83 dB @ 1 meter.  The impedance is purely resistive and is 4 ohms for the bass, and 3 ohms for the mid-range and tweeter.  The cross-over between the mid-range and tweeter is at 3,000 Hz and is non-defeatable.  Separate connections for the bass and mid-range & tweeter allow bi-amplified operaton.   The weight is for each panel.
