A hi-fi stereo receiver with an AM/FM stereo tuner with an analogue dial and an integrated amplifier with power output of 2 x 30 watts into 8 ohms, housed in a metal case with a champagne gold fascia (a WC-22 wooden case optional). The preamplifier and power amplifier sections can be separated. With a Signal Strength meter, jacks for headphones and Dubbing, Gyro Touch tuning, Lo and Hi Filters, Loudness, Mono, Muting. On the back, an AM ferrite rod antenna, terminals for AM and FM antennae, RCA phono sockets for input phono (MM) and Aux, for input/output Tape, for FM Quadradial output, Main In/Pre Out, terminals for 2 pairs of loudspeakers, switched and unswitched AC outlets.

Das zweitkleinste Modell der für das Modelljahr 1972 vorgestellten 22er Receiver Serie.(2215, 2230, 2245, 2270) Dieses Gerät wurde mit kleinen Änderungen bis 1975 gebaut. Es gab gravierte oder bedruckte, alu- oder champagnerfarbene ("gold-anodized") Frontblenden. Die Ausgangsleistung des 2230 wurde vom Hersteller, sehr konservativ, mit 2 x 30 Watt Dauerleistung bzw 2 x 45 Watt Musikleistung, nach RMS (20-20kHz), an 8 Ω angegeben.
Im Katalog 1974 (Superscope) wurden dann auch circa Werte nach DIN angegeben.
