  • The first hi-fi stereo integrated receiver made by Marantz with an FM stereo tuner, preamplifier and power amplifier housed in a single cabinet. Power output of 2 x 40 watts RMS into 4 ohms or 8 ohms, analogue dial. Absolute tuning accuracy through the built-in oscilloscope is an exclusive feature of Marantz tuners. The oscilloscope also indicates correct antenna direction for best reception and tunes out multipath interference, as well as tuning to the maximum signal strength of each station and can also be used to test for optimum stereo separation and stereo phasing of all connected components.

With Gyro Touch Tuning, rotary controls for oscilloscope Centering, Balance, Volume, Bass and Treble, rotary switches for Selector (Phono, FM, Tape, Aux1, Aux2) and Speaker Systems (Off, Main, Both, Remote), push button switches for Phono2, Mono, Tape Monitor, Audio Display, Hi Blend, Lo Filter, Hi Filter and Muting Off, jacks for headphones and Dubbing.

On the back, terminals for AM and FM antennae, RCA phono sockets for input Phono (MM), Phono 2 (MM), Tape, Aux1, Aux2, and for output Tape, terminals for two pairs of loudspeakers (Main and Remote), and an unswitched AC outlet. Price in 1968 $695, optional B18-0 oiled walnut cabinet $39.50.
