  • Royal Navy variant, covering 60 kHz - 30 MHz (60-160 / 160-420 / 500-1400 kHz / 1,4-4 / 4-11 / 11-30 MHz), AM, CW (BFO).
    Linear analog dial, logging scales marked with numbers; 5 bandwidths. Speaker out 1000 ohms, high AF level at phones out, usually equipped with R.I.S control left to main tuning knob and input in left upper corder, used to suppress interfering radar signals from the ship's radar system. Also equipped with a noise limiter subchassis (Admiralty Patt. 56703), the switch is located under the hinged lid.
    Common model used by Royal Navy, marked as Admiralty Pattern W2835A (with noise limiter inside) or W2835D and frontplate usually painted blue with white lettering.
