  • Notes
  • The Metrix MX 3000 is a pen type multimeter that complies with the IEC 1010-1 safety standard (1993). It is powered by two AAA batteries, and has an LCD display with a maximum reading of 3200 and a 65-segment bar graph. A measurement hold function is provided, and range selection can be manual or automatic. All ranges have 600 V protection, and the instrument has quick continuity tester and 10 minute auto power-off functions. The input impedance is 10 MΩ in parallel with less than 100 pF.

    DC voltage ranges
    300 mV, 3 V, 30 V, 300 V, 600 V

    AC voltage ranges
    3 V, 30 V, 300 V, 600 V
Frequency response 40 Hz to 300 Hz

    Resistance ranges

    (Open circuit voltage approx 1. 3 V)

    Diode check
Indicates open circuit, short circuit, or the forward voltage drop with a maximum test current of 1.5 mA

    Continuity check
Built-in buzzer sound when the resistance is less than 20 Ω

    Operating temperature 0 ˚C to 50 ˚C
    Storage temperature -20 ˚C to 60 ˚C

A clamp-type transducer MX 3000-1 for the measurement of AC current from 0.1 A to 300 A was available as a separate accessory.
