- Notes
- The RLC5 was equipped with the Mignon loose-coupler, wound on laminated drum forms instead of the ordinary pasteboard tube-type, an improvement that has greatly increased the efficiency of the coupler, which is of special construction for the reduction of static interference. A large loading inductance, regulated by an 11-point switch, is connected in the open or primary circuit. The Master Switch constitutes another feature in this cabinet, which changes the wave-length capacities of this set, by the simple turn of a small and neatly designed, three position, rotary switch, which when on "S" (short) position places a 43 plate rotary variable condenser in series with the primary circuit. When on "M" (medium) disconnects the condenser entirely, and when on the "L" (long) connects the condenser in shunt with the secondary coils. Wave Length capacity of this instrument is 9,000 meters. There are six terminals on the front panel. Antennae, ground, detector pair and headphones pair.
