  • CPRC-26, the Canadian PRC-26, is a self contained, battery operated FM-transceiver operating in the frequency range of 47.0 to 55.4 MHz. It has 6 crystal controlled channels, each of which may be preset to any frequency in the band. Power out 0,3 Watts.
In 1953 there were 6 different sets with different crystal-groups available, identified by a coloured disk with a letter (A to F) on the side of the front panel.
The receiver has one RF-amplifier, a crystal oscillator, mixer, 4 IF amplifiers, a limiter, a discriminator with 2 diodes, and 1 audio-amplifier. The transmitter has a master oscillator, a modulator and power amplifier. An automatic frequency control ensures that the operating frequency of the transmitter is correct.
The accessories are a 4 ft. whip-antenna, a counterpoise, a single earpiece headset, a handset H5002, an instruction plate and a canvas bag.
The given weight is inclusive the battery.
The sub-miniature tubes are integrated in plug-in units.
