  • Remarques
  • The 4-Pole Male Plug (British Army VAOS Ref. ZA24673) has the same kite pin configuration as a vintage B4 valve base. Although the pins are somewhat shorter than those of most valves, it can be plugged into a B4 valve socket. The plug has a right-angle entry that accepts cable up to 7 mm in diameter, and it was supplied with an extractor string. Slots in the shell allow the pin orientation to be rotated by 180˚.

The plug was used primarily as a battery connector, particularly to connect Junction Box Ref. ZA13348 of Wireless Set No. 38 Mk II to its 150/3 V HT/LT dry battery. Similar 'Connector Type H' plugs were used with some commercially-produced HT/LT batteries supplying different voltages, such as Ever Ready Type AD3. These battery plugs typically have a different cable entry angle from the ZA24673.
