- Annotazioni

"Wireless" refers to the "host" equipment the unit is connected to by wires. It's not a "Wireless Remote" but a Remotely sited control unit for a Wireless.
This unit is wired to a Wireless set (Receiver only or Receiver / Transmitter). Some sets would need the "intercom" accessory. It also connects to a telephone system (but not a Public Line). The Telephone pair can be to an exchage operator or to a remote field telephone. There appears to be an optional battery for telephone operation.
A bell is provided for incoming telephone calls.A local receiving aerial can be added. The rotating handle would be to generate outgoing call ringing to the "exchange" or remote field telephone (battery not required).
The Radio Operator at the WS (Wireless Set) would establish communication (either 1:1 or part of a Net) and the user of this unit can listen, send voice or Morse Code. The microphone unit would have a PTT (Press to Talk) button.
Wired connections to the "remote" radio would be Earphones, Microphone, PTT/CW (morse) key and optionally aerial.
It may have been used in fixed locations with WS19, WS22 or WS62 sets.
