    powered by 12 V accumulator for heaters, rotary transformer for 1000 V HT and anode converter 150 V for receiver HT and grid bias, vertical 6 foot rod antenna;
    used by British Army for short range communications between armoured fighting vehicles, in fact one of the earliest "tank radios".
    The set was in fact a redesigned Wireless Set 2 in a characteristic triangular shape to fit in a tank; an early series of twelfe sets wars ready for trials in 1934, 50 sets followed in 1936. Most of the sets were used in tanks in the Palestina campaign in 1936.
