In my collection, I have a R.F. amplifier matching the BC-659 in a very similar design.
This set with the designation "Ampli H F AM 102 A" has been in use by the french "Gendarmerie Nationale", but I suspect it also has a military origin.
It comes with a matching BA-275-A mains power supply in the same cabinet, and a battery power supply AA-23-A.
The meter is marked Signal Corps.
Does anyone have the original Technical Manual matching the BC-659, maybe there are hints about this power amplifier. I would better make a new model proposal when the U.S. Signal Corps designation is clear, I'm not sure whether the designations on the set are U.S. designations or from French Police forces.
