  • Bemerkung
  • Box BX-40, made of steel, contains 120 FT-243 crystals for use with the BC-1335 transceiver.
The lowest fundamental frequency is 5675 kHz, each one increasing 25 kHz up to 8650 kHz. For hams the 7025 kHz to 7175 kHz crystals are usable, fundamental in the 40 meter band and doubled in the 20 meter band.
In the BC-1335 their frequency was quadrupled to achieve the oscillation frequency of the receiver, which was mixed with the 4300 kHz lower incoming signal.
With the 120 crystals, giving 100 kHz "channels", a frequency range of 27.0 to 38,9 MHz could be covered. The BC-659 transceiver also used these crystals with the same results. Besides this box there was a case CS-137, consisting of 2 stacked boxes, to hold these range of crystals. The given weight is inclusive the crystals.
